Show players in navigation menu

Postby vegeta » Wed Jan 23, 2008 11:57 am

Hi all. First of all, thanks for the excelent addon to joomla, I used to get by with LMO, and joomlaque is fantastic.
Specially the Navigation Menu.

But i have a question: In thye navigation menu, I can choose the order and links like table, table and gris, etc, etc.
But I would like to know if there is a chance to change a little bit....

Is it possible when i select the tea from the dropdown menu, the first page shown is the showplayers.php of that team?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the answer, julien.
I know there is that option, but for that i have to have 2 dorpdown, project and team roster.
My site is for a single team, but with several group ages, so i'm using only the project dropdown.

What i wanted is to have "show team roster" in the module config, in the navigation menu items dropdowns, so that when you choose the project, i can configure the first page to display to "show team roster".

It a bit more complicated then...
Isn't it more simple to create a menu from scratch ? I mean, the navigation menu is practical for debugging, but it's not so beautiful ;)

the link is set in the function show_projectdropdown. It's not that difficult to modify, but you will need a request to extract your favorite team ineach particuliar project in there so that the link is well formed with the ttid.

I can, of course, if you really want to spend money... My advice still is that you should create regular joomla menu and menu items, it would take 15 minutes, and be better integrated (and free).
see the menus on my site for example: http://foot.asie.free.fr

Vegeta, I've the same problem.

I have site of one club, but with 4 projects. Adding 4 custom menus, for one menu to each project like julienV propose is easy, but takes very much space on website.
Anybody know how to add some dropdown like "Squad" (show_players.tpl) to Navigation Menu ?

I have the same problem. I have only one league and when i try enabling the league navigation menu, i only get 2 options, the season and the league name. I want to be able to load the matchdays, and the teams but for some reason i cant seem to get them to work. I do have enabled a menu that goes directly to joomleague, but it shows the 1st match day, and now we already on the 5th matchday. I am new to joomla and am trying to work with this, so far i enjoy joomleague very much, except these small things that i am sure are easy to resolve, but not quite sure how to do it. Is there a way to create a menu where i can just have the matchday module linked to it, another the teams, and another the results? Would that be easier? I am in the menu manager but dont know which option to choose to get the right module to work. If anyone knows of a way to do this, i would be very appreciative!  ;)
