Frontpage modules and links

Postby tranceRoller » Mon Dec 12, 2011 7:50 am

Hi!
Joomla 1.5.22 and JoomLeague 1.5.2.5880eaf

Site front-page contains few modules:
mod_joomleague_logo
mod_joomleague_results
mod_joomleague_ranking
mod_joomleague_eventsranking

All of them have links, to "teamInfo", "matchReport", "matchPreview", "rankingTable", "eventsRanking" layouts.

Also site have main menu with links to same layouts. To menu items I can associate sub-menu module to "right" position. With layouts from modules I can't.

I found how handle link from mod_joomleague_logo to "teamInfo". Had to create menu item with each team "teamInfo" layout. Than I could to associate sub-menu module to these items. And link from logo module works fine. For now I don't need this menu items, so I set up "special" access level, but it still working ...

Another thing is, that I can't create menu items for each player. Player profile user can get trough "teamRoster". But if "teamRoster" view is with sub-menu module it means "playerProfile" will have as well. From module eventsranking I have got again standalone view.

So question is: How to set up links to layouts from menu items, not to standalone layouts? (to get same design)

Link from module: http://www.ogres-turnirs.lv/index.php?o ... ck&lang=lv

Link trough menu item: http://www.ogres-turnirs.lv/index.php?o ... 15&lang=lv

Is everything clear?

It is weird. Nobody in showcase using mod_joomleague_logo.
So, answer is: not to use links in modules?

I have got 2 different "Player profile" pages.
First you can get trough menu: Menu -> Ranking -> Team icons -> Roster -> Player profile
Another trough front-page eventsranking module: Module -> Player profile

I don't need 2 different pages.
In first case I have got menu module in right position, because I can associate this menu module to menu item.
In second case I have just Player profile without menu module in right position.
I need in both case menu module in right position.

Same story with result module and "Match Report" page ...

Is now more clear?

My fault, I didn't told everything.

In first case I have only Menu item: Tournament ->Ranking
And than in ranking table trough javascript expanding Team icons you get inside roster. So, actually, I don't have menu item with player profile.
When associate menu module to Ranking page, than every link from ranking page have menu module. And it is good for me.
But if you go trough front-page eventsranking module to player profile, got only Player profile.

ok,
you show the module on every menu-item,
but when clicking the player link inside a module,
the full player page is shown without the module...

Seems correct because that player page doesnt contain any module and is not a menu-item

is not a menu-item

Players data base contains more than 400 players. To much for menu items.

that player page doesnt contain any module

That means player page can contain the module?
Where should I change the code?

Thanks, timoline, for help!
For me solution is Advanced Module Manager. It can associate any module to url.
