Upgrade from 0.93b to joomleague 1.6.nathalie

Postby Saskia » Wed Jul 18, 2012 9:00 am

Good morning,

I have tried to upgrade my 0.93b version to 1.6.nathalie on a testwebsite.
However, I encounter many problems.

I read the WIKI documentation, part upgrade.

Step 1 - I did, I back up all my joomleague tables and export and save as a CSV file. Than I dropped all the tables.
Step 2 - Joomla 1.5 already on my website
Step 3 - How can you import (restore) the 0.93 data if you haven't yet install the Joomleague 1.6.0 component which is step 4???

Anyway, I try to import my old data into one of the joomleague tables and get the following errors:

Error
Invalid field count in CSV input on line 1.

My CSV options were:

CSV options
Replace table data with file - marked
Ignore duplicate rows - marked
Fields terminated by ;
Fields enclosed by "
Fields escaped by \
Lines terminated by auto
Column names

IF I leave the CSV options out, than I got the following errors:

Error
Invalid parameter for CSV import: Fields terminated by

So I cannot get my old data into the new joomleague tables.

Another question is, one of my old data jos_joomleague_matches = 14,143 KB big.
How do I import this, as the maximum is 2,048 mb

I use Joomleague since season 2006-2007 so I would really appreciate if anybody can help me out?

Thanks for any help!

regards
Saskia

Too bad nobody have replied, can anybody please help me :help:

I read the WIKI, but I am completed lost.

First I did a back up of all my tables, separately. Don't know how to export all the tables to one fil.
I use phpmyadmin.
Than I uninstall joomleague 0.93b
Install Joomla 1.6 v1.6.0.9826ddb

Than I see in the backend of this new joomleague component to Import CSV!

So I tried, unfortunately the following error

Error parsing column names. Are you sure this is a proper csv export ?
try to export first to get an example of formatting

Can somebody explain step by step and please don't refer to WIKI, what to do?

THANKS
Saskia

By the way I donated on Tuesday the 10 euro, but forget my nickname Saskia!

One last shot of the day.

I tried now the following.
I saw (finally) in phpmyadmin how to to export all the joomleague tables to one csv file.
I have to mention this file 16.9 mb big!

So again I went to the backend of joomla 1.5 > component > joomleague 1.6

Administration and click on Import CSV

I try to upload it and thought actually that it would work, as it gave no errors but after a couple minutes it went to the Control Panel page of Joomla.
Went back to Component > Joomleague

But unfortunately no import has been made :(

Any suggestions, as I'm running at a :bash:

Thks!

Unfortunately, I still cannot get it working!
I think, I mixed up the steps, as follows what I did, please if somebody have a idea let me know.

Steps I took:

1. I export my old joomleague tables (o.93) in phpmyadmin. I did it one by one, but also in one complete table.

2. I uninstall joomleague 0.93b in joomla 1.5.

3. I install joomleague 1.6.nathalie in joomla 1.5.

4. I try to import in phpmyadmin the old tables, first I tried one by one. But see my error in my first message on this forum. I got CSV errors.
I have no idea how to import a complete file which is 16.9 mb big in phpmyadmin.

5. So I try to import it via joomla > joomleague 1.6 > csv import. Well that doesn't work either.

6. I tried to go to Joomleague 1.6 > Administration > updates to Updates-.jl_upgrade-0.93b_to_1_6.php

Well I did all the 16 steps, but 90% failed! (Because I think that you have to perform this on old 0.93 tables? How I have no idea, as you don't have the option in joomleague 0.93b > updates).

Than I try again to import it via CSV import, but again failed.

So please help, I'm still running at :bash:

Thanks
Saskia

Well I tried again this morning.
A week passed by and I'm getting desperate.

I cannot remove CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS `jos_joomleague_club, AS this line doesn't exist in my export file!!!!

The new season is coming closer and I have a lot of work to do!

Can somebody please help me what I must do :help:

Does the new version joomleague 1.6.nathalie work on Joomla 1.5.20?
As I try to install it (this is testwebsite not my actual site) and it says Cannot find installationpackage.
I google this line, and it says wrong path. BUT I can install the older version of joomleague 0.93!

Anyway I do hope anybody can help me.
I need some advice.

thanks

Step 1 - I did, I back up all my joomleague tables and export and save as a CSV file. Than I dropped all the tables.

This is the problem export as SQL file not CSV next you can import to another database Not needed remove old tables but simply install new version JL 1.6 when remove old 0.93 component

Thanks benio08 for all the help and patience.

I try again, now exporting as sql, as follow my steps

1. Export the complete old tables in one file (SQL)
2. Install first on my test website joomleague 0.93b
3. Import the data from the old tables from my actual site (one table 'matches' couldnot import, the file was too big). Also the old table file was too big to import, so I import each table one by one as a sql and that works!
4. De-install joomleague 0.93
5. Install joomleague 1.6.nathalie
6. In the backend joomleague > administration > updates v0.93b to v1.6.0-nathalie

I had some errors with the 16 steps updates, but hopefully not on my real site!
It works!

Tomorrow I'm going to install it on my actual website.

Thanks for all the help, and I will let you know whether it works or not!

Keep fingers crossed

regards
Saskia :thx:

Yes finally I upgraded the joomleague version.
I had to read again the WiKi document regarding the requirements which gave me a couple of days setback, but this morning finally got in on my site.

:thx: and this subject can be closed.

PS I had one minor error, the Dutch languague could not be installed

Language Install: No core pack exists for the language :nl-NL
Do I have to open a new subject?
